My name is Gargi Datta Banik and I am the mind and soul behind Creative Pine. I am a Surface Pattern Designer and illustrator based out of the beautiful country, Canada. Through my artworks I want to capture the essence of Nature, Her dwellers and the bounties provided by Her. All of the motifs or illustrations in my designs are either hand drawn or painted which is why you might find a painted leaf or a painted floral in my patterns or in my artworks. I often derive inspirations from everyday life, things that catches my fancy and also I like to work from my memory where my works are driven by a sense of nostalgia of a place, it’s smell, it’s people!
