Hi! I’m Nikki Phillis, the Australian surface pattern designer behind the studio,
Kitten Lane. My style is relaxed and nature-inspired, with a boho touch and
influences from coastal, farmhouse, and Japandi aesthetics. I create patterns for
wallpaper, fabric and home decor that are designed to bring a sense of calm,
warmth, and timeless beauty to interiors.
Living in the country and surrounded by the Australian bush, I'm especially drawn
to calming color palettes—warm neutrals, soft blues, and muted greens—that
reflect my natural surroundings. With over 20 years of experience in the design
industry and two young children who inspire me daily, my work blends creativity,
comfort, and a love for the little details that make a space feel like home.
